Diary - Day 3 - Thursday 16 April 2009
Sid writes:
Day 3 was a short day. 52km to Triabunna. I was the last one to leave the camping ground and soon overtook Tynan, who was struggling with some knee pain.

Stunning backdrop
Then I was slowed down by a whole fleet of cars. That’s right… 15 cars ahead was Aubin riding on the middle of the road, blocking all traffic.

Aubin at the front, how can Sid get through the traffic?
The road was quite hilly with a fair few twists and turns and hence, the cars didn’t dare go into the opposing lane. After 10 minutes of a unicycle led procession, the road stretched out and the cars sped past with waves and a few middle fingers (according to Aubin, but not according to Mum, Karin - who was driving in the middle of the traffic). It didn’t matter.

We stopped to take photos and eat chocolate Anzac bikkies at a very scenic shoe fence.

How's that for size?
Nick found a pair that almost fit his size 15 feet.
My butt hurt and the faster I rode the less time I spent on the saddle. We all reached Triabunna in quick time and had the rest of the afternoon to chill, go for a walk to Three Thumbs Picnic Area …

… and have a great pizza dinner in Orford. After dinner, the nightly activities resumed with more card games and Bum Darts with a few backpackers from the camping ground. Awesome fun! But with a big day tomorrow, that’s it from me. My sleeping bag is calling out to me and my legs are protesting. Ciao!
